which falsely encourages or discourages them when they calculate the cost of
their flooring project ... if you underestimate your requirements,
you may be surprised by the actual square footage and appropriate budget

Measure the interior of each room (excluding walls, including
closets) then, remove the footprint for the kitchen and
bathroom cabinets/counters, tubs/showers, staircase, fireplace/stove base
areas and closets that you may not want done, etc., to determine a fair
measure. (Avoid using 'building plans' and 'exterior' dimensions.)

Consider your budget requirements. If budget is "an issue" when considering
"wall-to-wall" artistic flooring, consider doing selective areas ... the
critical living areas ... use utility flooring in less important areas .

Marreed-Prestman may accept your Labour Crew and
provide a Labour Cost Rebate... you and/or two or three of your STRONG
"Family or Friends" can act as "LABOUR CREW" on your job only. I hold
myself fully responsibility for the high quality of your flooring
project. "Crew" is usually required for about two or three days in
total.
Likewise, Clients who choose
to provide local and experienced construction labour (one, two or three
strong men with basic but, reliable, tool-handling ability to work under
my direct hands-on supervision (for
about two or three days in total.), are responsible
for the availability and performance of the crew they hire. In exchange,
Marreed-Prestman will credit clients "who choose to hire locally" my
usual local labour cost. Furthermore, Clients accept that
Marreed-Prestman regularly and easily installs 400 sf. to 500 sf. on
"Start Day" and 600 sf. to 800 sf. on subsequent days. Therefore,
client-supplied workers are expected to attain this basic standard of
performance in order to control installation costs and meet our desired
timeline and budget.
One-of-a-Kind
Pictures of flooring styles are
representations of finishing techniques only ... your floor will
take on its own variation of these styles based on factors such
as, raw wood "character", the season, heat, humidity,
ventilation, etc. ... the result is always a stunningly
beautiful one-of-a-kind floor.

actual rooms/floors
look much less 'dominant' and they
are special ... this is particularly true of
Rocky Road.

Note:
We use only new
wood for flooring ... Knotty Red Pine Grades. (Grade #1: Clear, is used
for window sills
and sashes (in the building materials industry) and is
not usually milled or desirable for use as flooring.)
'Diamond-Tough' (Gym-Type) Floodcoat Topcoats: Oil-based "Satin" (turns
darker/golden-amber with UV light) or,
Water-based "Satin" (remains natural/tawny) (Odourless).
