ACCLIMATIZATION PERIOD REQUIRED
Install after ten (10) to fourteen (14) days.
"Due
to bulk handling and careless storage conditions ...
Commodity-Oriented Resellers require that you acclimate
their lumber to the moisture level within
your home or cottage for
10-14 days in controlled conditions before you can even begin to install it ...
Often, Resellers store flooring lumber outdoors (with or without cover)
or in a garage, shed or other unheated building ... the lumber
loses all of the benefits of being Kiln-Dried in the first place ... especially when stored under
tin roofs or covered with plywood or plastic.
Commodity-Oriented 'Resellers" usually offer only
6"
(common)
but, they may special order wider
widths at much higher cost. |
Perfect for the DIY: Do-it-Yourselfer *
Commodity-Oriented Resellers require an Acclimatization Period
for their wideplank wood flooring lumber within the building in which the
flooring is to be installed which places you in an 'impassable'
position ... 'tripping over your own lumber' and inhibiting most indoor
construction for ten (10) to fourteen (14) days before
installation of your wideplank floor can
begin. Whereby, Marreed-Prestman maintains proper
Kiln-Pitch * using controlled indoor storage
and Just-in-Time (JUT) Delivery ... No Acclimatization Period is required
for 'local' hand-delivered product whether you chose Full Installation or DIY:
